Pueblo Ladder

In Bernalillo NM, there is a old Pueblo ruin named Kauau that is on the banks of the Rio Grande. At the ruin, there is a kiva, an underground spiritual place that when discovered in the 30s had frescos of Pueblo spirits, Corn Maiden and others that were carefully peeled off the walls and now are preserved in a climate-controlled darkened room the door of which you see to the left in this painting.   11 x 15″
